Congratulations to the Sheridan Junior High School 9th grade band on their performance March 17 in El Dorado. The band performed at the ASBOA Region 3 Concert Assessment for a panel of judges. The band received superior ratings for their stage performance and sight reading. As a result of these ratings, the band will receive the ASBOA Sweepstakes Award. This award is a tremendous honor bestowed upon the best junior high and high school bands in the state of Arkansas.
"I would like to thank Mr. Burks, Ms. Cardin, Mrs. Douglass, and the 9th grade faculty and staff for their kind support of our amazing student musicians," said Dennis Wolfe, SJHS band director.
The band’s next performance will be May 19th at SHS Auditorium for the Sheridan Bands Awards Concert.
