The Sheridan dance teams won several awards at the Sheridan Dance Invitational, which was held at the Sheridan High School Gym on Oct. 1, 2016.
- 8th Grade Dance Team placed first in Jazz and Pom.
- The Sheridan Freshman Dance Team placed first in Jazz and Kick and placed second in Hip-Hop.
- The SHS Dance Team placed first in Kick and Jazz.
- Emily Miller placed third in Solo, Jenna Whitmire placed second in Solo, and Aly Savage placed first in Solo.
