Janet Stevens is coming to East End Elementary School on Friday, Oct. 21. Ms. Stevens is a well known author and illustrator of children’s books writing many original stories. She, also, collaborates with her sister, Susan Stevens Crummel to write and illustrate more titles. Her trademark humorous animals make her books favorites of children everywhere. Ms. Stevens has won many awards including a Caldecott Honor Award and the Arkansas Diamond Primary Book Award. Some of her books are: Tops and Bottoms, The Little Red Pen, Help Me, Mr. Mutt and Three Billy Goats Gruff. She has illustrated books for renowned authors including Coleen Salley’s Epossumondas series.
Our students will enjoy a presentation by Ms. Stevens and will be allowed to purchase books at a discounted rate for autographing. We are excited to welcome Janet Stevens to East End Elementary School.
