At Sheridan High School we focus on three main teaching goals: LEADERSHIP, TEAMWORK and SELF-DISCIPLINE.
JROTC started at Sheridan High School in 1969. In 1974 we were rated Honor Unit with Distinction and have retained that rating every year since 1974, a fact of which our cadets are very proud. Our JROTC program is an active one, and we are involved in many school and community activities. We have an active Drill Team, Rifle Team, Orienteering Teams, and Cadet Challenge Teams.
JROTC is a premier program at Sheridan High School and is the home of the JROTC educational game, Leadership Educational Aptitude Drill, or L.E.A.D. We developed the game and now provide it to all the Army JROTC programs in the world.
