On behalf of the College Board, the following students are recognized for earning qualifying scores on Advanced Placement Exams.  Administered each May, these exams earn thousands of hours of college credit for Sheridan students. Several are able to erase a year of college and many others a semester due to their success on Advanced Placement exams.  


A total of 49 Sheridan High School students have received recognition from the College Board as AP Scholar award recipients. These designations honor their cumulative success on Advanced Placement Exams while enrolled in grades 10-12.

    

The AP Scholar with Distinction has been awarded to 9 Sheridan students:

    

Current Seniors of 2020: Alaina Allen and Reid Roark. Graduating, 2019 Seniors: Peyton Clark, Brendan Crutchfield, Megan Harrington, Anna Holiman, Logan Ingram, Kristen Pinkerton, and Laura Workman. The AP Scholar is granted to students who receive scores of 3 or higher on three or more AP Exams.

    

The AP Scholar with Honor has been awarded to 8 students at SHS:  

    

Current Seniors of 2020: Kaleigh Coker, Carson Norwood, Jacob Olson, and Mya Souvanna.      


Graduating, 2019 Seniors: Mary Aycock, Bay Fleming, Terah Grimes, and Jordan Simpson.  To earn this award, students received qualifying scores with the average score of at least 3.25 on all AP Exams taken, and scores of 3 or higher on four or more of these exams.

    

Thirty-two students earned the AP Scholar designation in 2019. Granted to students who receive scores of 3 or higher on three or more AP Exams.
