Click here to view the Arkansas Department of Health Immunization Requirements for the 2017-18 school year.

These requirements are the result of state law and are required of all Arkansas students. Please notice the next to last bullet on the provided link, which states the requirement of a Tdap vaccination for any student age 11 or older.  This requirement will likely apply to most incoming 6th or 7th grade students. Notice the deadline of Sept. 1 to meet the Tdap vaccination requirement. According to law, your student must have received a Tdap vaccination and provide documentation of the immunization to the school by Sept. 1, 2017, in order to continue attending school after that date. If other immunization requirements have not been met, those immunization requirements must be met also.

All 7th graders will be required to have one dose of MCV4 (Meningococcal) vaccine with a second dose administered at age 16. If not vaccinated prior to age 16 years, 1 dose is required for all students who are age 16 or or before Sept. 1st of each year.

The Grant County Health Unit will be providing shot clinics for those students who are in need of required immunizations for school entry. Parents will need to make an appointment. The dates for these all day clinics are as follows:

August 4, 2017
August 18, 2017

The Saline County Health Unit will administer required student immunizations Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM. The Saline County Health Unit can be called at 501-303-5650. Their address is 1612 Edison Ave., Benton. Until August 1 the charge could vary depending on individual circumstances.
