Commencement for the Class of 2020 will still be held Sunday, July 26 at the Yellowjacket Arena. To ensure social distancing guidelines are observed, the commencement will be divided into three sessions. The ceremonies will be professionally live-streamed and recorded for those who are unable to attend.
Session 1
1 PM: Graduates with Last Names A-Goolsby
Session 2
4 PM: Graduates with Last Names Gossage-P
Session 3
7 PM: Graduates with Last Names R-Z
Graduates are to arrive 45 minutes in advance of their session and report to the cafeteria. Doors will open for guests 30 minutes prior to each session. All guests must follow the health and safety guidelines outlined HERE.
Note: Graduation practice has been canceled.
We have allotted five guest tickets for each graduate who reported to us in our survey that he/she plans to attend the ceremony and did not already pick up a diploma. Tickets may only be picked up by graduates or their guardians. Tickets will not be mailed. Tickets will be available for pick up at the following times and locations.
Wednesday, July 22 from 12 PM - 6 PM at SHS office
Thursday, July 23 from 12 PM - 2 PM at SHS office
Thursday, July 23 from 4 PM - 6 PM at EEM office
Due to the need to plan for each session and set-up the arena for social distancing, tickets will not be available after Thursday, July 23.
If you previously responded that you were planning to attend graduation and have decided not to attend, please call the school at 870-942-3137 to let us know so that we can arrange a time for you to pick up your diploma. The high school office is open 8 AM - 3:30 PM, Monday-Friday.
