Jacket Health & Wellness Center

Coordinated School Based Mental Health Services

The Sheridan School District partners with Pinnacle Pointe Behavioral Healthcare System to provide mental health services to students who have emotional or psychological problems which are adversely affecting the student’s school performance. Pinnacle Pointe houses full time Mental Health Therapists on the Sheridan School District campuses, along with support staff (Qualified Behavioral Health Providers) who support students and families with mental health and substance related services, including psychiatric services. Referrals for SBMH services may be initiated by school staff or by the student’s parent/guardian through the student’s school counselor. The referrals are reviewed by the district’s Director of School Counseling & Jacket Health and Wellness. If criteria are met, the referral is routed to the most appropriate provider for school-based services who in turn contacts the student’s parent/guardian to arrange for an intake appointment.  Please refer to your child's school counselor for more information.
