During May and June 2025, students at Sheridan High School took a total of 622 Advanced Placement exams that tested the content knowledge and skills gained in each of their AP courses. Each qualifying score of 3, 4, or 5 equates to earned college credit, tuition savings, and proof of a student’s ability to handle college-level coursework. This year, SHS students earned an impressive total of 406 passing scores, which is the highest number in the history of the district’s AP program.
College Board recently announced the 2025 AP Scholar recipients for Sheridan High School based on performance on this year’s AP exams. A total of 95 AP Scholar Awards at all levels have been granted to students at Sheridan High School, which is a significant increase from last year’s 59 Scholar Awards.
Twenty-three SHS students qualified for the AP Scholar with Distinction award, the highest award given, with an average score of 4.02. To receive this recognition, a student must receive an average score of at least 3.5 on all AP exams taken during his/her high school career, as well as score 3 or higher on at least five exams. This high level of achievement also earns each of these students a Diploma of Distinction. This year’s AP Scholars with Distinction are Thatcher Allen, Tanner Bailey, Daniel Behrendt, Preston Benning, Max Bergeron, Sydney Bergeron, Zack Bergeron, Payton Bohler, Jack Boykin, Lilly George, Gavin Goldman, Carley Hancock, Alissa Campbell, Noah Long, Anna Moss, Connor Nash, John Mason Pfenenger, Mitchell Ray, Dalton Summit, Abbygail Watkins, Rylie Webb, Avery Williams, and Jackson Young.
Fourteen SHS students were awarded AP Scholar with Honors awards and had an average score of 3.49. Students are granted this award for receiving an average score of at least 3.25 on all AP exams taken during their high school careers, as well as scoring 3 or higher on at least four exams. AP Scholars with Honors also qualify for a Diploma of Merit. This year’s AP Scholars with Honor are Lauren Fleming, Abby Graves, MadaLynn Kimbrell, Corri Langley, Jackson Lazenby, Jocelyn Phillips, McKenzie Porter, Christopher Raymick, Steven Robinowitz, Colton Smith, Emily Stone, OIivia Vaughan, Ava Walters, and Kennedy Williams.
A total of 58 SHS students earned the AP Scholar award, which is awarded to students who received scores of 3 or higher on three or more AP exams taken during their high school careers. Students earning this level of award also qualify for a Diploma of Merit.
