The Sheridan School District has announced that current East End Intermediate School Principal Dr. Amber Binz will move into that same position at East End Middle School for the upcoming 2026-27 school year. East End Intermediate Assistant Principal Liane Teague will be promoted to take Binz’s position as principal at EEI. The Sheridan School District Board of Education voted to approve both moves at its regular monthly meeting on Monday, March 9.
“We are excited to see Dr. Binz and Mrs. Teague take on these new leadership roles within our district,” said Sheridan Superintendent Chad Pitts. “They each bring exceptional experience, dedication, and a deep commitment to student success. Their leadership skills have been evident and I’m certain they will continue to strengthen our East End campuses and provide an outstanding learning environment for our students.”
Binz will replace Dr. Heather Williams, who was recently named Director of School Support and Leadership for the upcoming school year. Binz joined the district in 2023 as principal at EEI. Teague joined the district in 2015.
A native of Paris, Ark., Binz began her career in education in 2009 teaching 8th grade Literacy at Paris Middle School. Binz has an undergraduate degree in History Education from Arkansas Tech University and advanced degrees in Educational Leadership from Harding University. In 2021, she earned her Doctor of Education (EdD) from Harding. She and her husband, Jason Binz, have three daughters. Jason is the facilities coordinator for the Sheridan School District.
A native of Cabot, Teague’s entire career has been in the Sheridan School District. After four years at the former Sheridan Junior High School, she served as a classroom teacher at East End Middle School when that campus first opened in 2019 and earned the school’s 2021-22 Teacher of the Year award. In 2023, Teague was named as assistant principal at EEI and has served in that role since.
Teague has an undergraduate degree in Middle Childhood Education from the University of Arkansas-Little Rock, a Master of Education in Educational Theory and Practice from Arkansas State University, and an advanced degree in Educational Leadership from Arkansas State.
