Fifteen first grade students were selected by SES Specialty teachers to serve on the SES Kid Leadership Team. This is a newly created team at Sheridan Elementary School.Students were selected based on academic excellence, behavior, helping others, and demonstrating leadership skills in the classroom. Before Christmas break, the kids (and parents) were given a task to create a project to tell the team more about themselves as well as what makes a good leader. On Friday, January 19, the students presented their leadership projects to the specialty teachers and their parents. The team will serve as a voice for the students of SES throughout this year and as 2nd graders.
