The Sheridan School District held its annual banquet to honor its retiring employees last week. Those honored were Faith Boatright, library media specialist at EEE (27 years in education, 27 with SSD); Todd Breazeal, master electrician in maintenance (30 years with SSD); DeeAnn Daniel, math teacher at SHS (36 years in education, 26 with SSD); Sherri DeSoto, gifted/talented teacher at SIS (23 years in education, 14 with SSD); Angie Deuerling, secretary aide at SHS (13 years in education, 13 with SSD); Angela Douglass, assistant principal at SMS (28 years in education, 28 with SSD); Vickie Easley, principal at EEE (30 years in education, 30 with SSD); Sandra Johnson, second-grade teacher at SES (28 years in education, 23 with SSD); Forest Klinedinst, bus driver (10 years with SSD); Ken McCool, bus driver (18 years with SSD); Joan Moltz, first-grade teacher (41 years in education, 41 with SSD); LeAnn Perkins, instructional assistant at SMS (20 years in education, 20 with SSD); Stephanie Pugh, fifth-grade teacher at SIS (33 years in education, 31 with SSD); and Ally Simmons, PE teacher at EEE (25 years in education, 25 with SSD). Combined, these 14 individuals have 362 years of experience, and they will be greatly missed. Thank you for your service to the Sheridan School District!
The Sheridan School District Transportation department held an end-of-year celebration for the district's bus drivers today. The event marks the end of the school in which the group successfully transported approximately 1,900 students to and from school safely each day. Thank you for all that you do!






The Sheridan High School FCCLA is hosting a Pancake Breakfast on June 1 on the Grant County Courthouse lawn from 8-11 a.m. The event is a fundraiser to help send the group to participate in national competition in Seattle. Help support your Yellowjacket FCCLA students!

NOTE: The parents' meeting that was to take place with Coach Kelley before the game will now be held 20 minutes after the game in the student lounge/old cafeteria.

Registration for the Future Lady Jacket Volleyball League is underway. Player evaluations will be August 31. Practice will begin the first week of September with one practice per week. Games will be played on Saturdays through October 12. Grades 3/4 will be combined, and grades 5/6 will be combined. Registration is $50 for the league fee and a team shirt.
