Join us on Thursday, April 23 to show appreciation for our health care workers and first responders who are on the frontlines battling the coronavirus to care for the sick.
We'd love to see social media flooded with pictures of people showing support by either wearing the color red or displaying a red ribbon or scarf on a pole or tree in their front yard. If you don't have a ribbon or scarf just use any red material you can find. There is no need to buy anything.
Use the hashtag #YJNationInThisTogether, and we'll share your posts!

SSD Families: We are extending the due date to submit AMI Packets (Days 2 - 10). Please mail, email, or place in the drop boxes by 3 p.m. on Monday, April 20. The drop boxes are located at the front entrance of each campus, from 8 AM - 3 PM.
Please join us for Virtual Spirit Week next week, April 20 - 24! Look closely at Thankful Thursday. We would like to see the entire #YJNation show support for health care workers and first responders who are on the frontlines battling the coronavirus to care for the sick. SSD Families: We understand that many of our families still do not have power in their homes. We will continue to provide lessons to best of our ability; however, these lessons are optional until power has been restored. We do not want this school work to add to your worries. These lessons are intended to provide a sense of normalcy for our students and to serve as a resource for those families who have power and want to continue with school work.
SSD Families: Beginning today, our Grab-&-Go meal service in Sheridan has been moved from SES to SHS. The drive-thru will be in front of the Yellowjacket Arena. For East End, meals can still be picked up at EEM. If you need meals delivered to your home because you are unable to pick them up at SHS or EEM, please call the transportation office at 870-942-5522.
SSD Families: Due to widespread power outages and storm damage throughout our district, online instruction has been cancelled for today, April 13. We are also unable to prepare/deliver meals today.
We have set up Safe Learning Zones at each of our campus parking lots -- with the exception of SMS due to construction -- so that SSD families can park in our parking lots for students to access our school Internet for digital learning. You will not need a password to access our Guest Access WiFi. Remember to practice social distancing. Our facilities will remain closed to prevent the spread of COVID-19, but you can still call the offices M-F, from 8 a.m. - 3 p.m. We are working to set up additional Wifi hotspots throughout our district. We will announce those locations next week.
