Our Annual Band Night Event is coming up on Tuesday, Oct. 3, 2017. It will take place at Yellowjacket Stadium beginning at 6:30 pm. It will be followed by the 2017 Beginner Band Premiere Concert which will feature all of our beginning band students from SIS, EEI, and SJHS on the stage of McKenzie Auditorium.
Both events are free and open to the public. Bob Robbins will be the emcee for the event.
The home side concession stand will be open selling refreshments as well.


Buffy Teague, SJHS Café Manager, participated in the Arkansas Hospitality Association Culinary Classic last night at the Statehouse Convention Center. At the event, she competed against some of the best chefs in the state and came out with a second place finish for her modern take on the traditional pumpkin tartlets! Her competition included chefs from The Clinton Presidential Center, The Capital Hotel, Country Club of Little Rock, So Restaurant and Bar, and more.


LITTLE JACKETTES PERFORMANCE: On Sept. 22, the Little Jackettes will meet at the SHS gym at 5:45 PM to practice the routine before performing. They will be escorted to the football field for their performance at 6:20 PM. Little Jackettes will get in free to the ballgame, but their guests will pay gate admission. Parents should arrive early to ensure great seats. There will be an organized pick up by the score board end zone after the performance is over.

DON'T FORGET! Parent-teacher conferences are today and Thursday, 4 - 7 PM.

It's time to register for the Little Jackette Dance Clinic. For grades 3-6, the clinic will be held Sept. 19, 3:45-6 p.m. in the SES gym. For Kindergarten through 2nd grade, the clinic will be held Sept. 20, 3:45-6 p.m. in the SES gym. The Little Jackettes will perform a dance on Friday, Sept. 22 during the pregame of the SHS football game. Registration is $30. Forms and money must be submitted by Sept. 8 to your school office. This price includes a T-shirt.
