Recently, Mrs. Liles (Reading Interventionist) and Ms. Overton (Kindergarten teacher), members of the First Book Marketplace, applied for a grant through the Read-Lead-Achieve campaign sponsored by Pi Beta Phi. With this grant every child at Sheridan Elementary would receive a book of their choice. On Saturday, March 3, Ms. Overton picked up 580 books for each student at SES. At school on Monday, March 5, each student received a free book!
