We will have a VIRTUAL DAY for all students. Students will be given assignments for remote learning, but there will be no LIVE instruction (online or onsite).

Now that both our virtual and onsite students have begun using the Canvas Learning Management System, it's time for parents to create an Observer account in Canvas. With an Observer account, you can track your student's learning progress and receive messages from his/her teachers. To get started, you will first need to log into your student's account. If your student does not know his/her account information, please call our front office. Tap on the parent video below for step-by-step instructions.

SIS Families: We wanted to take a moment to say a few things about the Canvas Learning Management System. Students will access their online work through the Canvas LMS. For Virtual (online) students, all of their announcements, assignments, teacher communications, etc. will happen through this platform. For Blended (onsite) students, teachers will provide face-to-face instruction and activities, as well as online assignments and communications through Canvas. Students can access Canvas at http://sheridanschools.instructure.com/login/saml and log in with their school Google account username and password from the previous school year.
Virtual Students: If your virtual student is new to the district or you don't know your Google username and password, please contact our office on Monday.
Blended Students: If your student is new to the district or you don't know your Google username and password, your student will get this information at school.
We will send more information about how parents can monitor their students progress in Canvas soon.

The SIS 5th-6th grade chess team won 1st place at today’s regional tournament. 6th grader Eli Wolfe won the 1st place individual trophy. He was undefeated all day. Congratulations!! Great job!

SIS 6th graders are having a blast sculpting their clay animals, and 3rd graders are learning about Monochromatic color schemes while creating a winter scene.
Our schools are full of young entrepreneurs! We invite everyone to the SIS & EEI Yellowjacket Student Business Expo on Feb. 18, from 6 - 8 PM, at the Yellowjacket Arena during the varsity basketball games.
