Each year the Sheridan Middle School art teachers have a contest in each of their art classes to choose the student artwork that will be entered into the Malvern
National Bank Annual Virginia P. Weaver Spring Art Show.
Mrs. Harmon and Mrs. Smith selected 26 students for this honor. The students entered their artwork and attended an awards reception on Friday, April 25 at the Malvern Branch of Malvern National Bank. The following students received award ribbons for their outstanding artwork in the youth division.
Art Awards Winners: Kaden Croft, 2nd Place Floral Category; Yulissa Perez, 4th Place Animal Category; Cameron Speights, 3rd Place Abstract Category; Ella Franck, 4th Place Floral Category; Melanie Reyes, Honorable Mention Abstract Category; Thomas Funderburg, Honorable Mention Open Category
All of these works of art and hundreds more will be on display at the Sheridan Middle School Annual End of the Year Art Show on May 20, from 5:30-7:00 p.m. The SMS hallways will be filled with fabulous artwork from our 6th, 7th, and 8th grade art students, so be sure to attend. Refreshments will be served.
