Congratulations to the Sheridan Middle School Robotics teams for their outstanding performance at the Lake Village Winter tournament! Team “The Miners” took home FIRST place in teamwork, while team YJ Stingers claimed SECOND in teamwork, FIRST place in Skills, and the coveted “SPORTSMANSHIP” trophy. Both teams have now secured a spot in the Arkansas State Competitions – way to go! And a big shoutout to the other three teams from Sheridan Middle School for their hard work and dedication. Merry Christmas & Congratulations to our talented students at Sheridan Middle School for their outstanding achievements in the annual Sheridan Headlight front page art contest! Pearl Tollet took 2nd place with her mesmerizing snow globe piece, Sarah Daniels claimed 3rd place with her captivating red birds artwork, and Katie Cypert received an Honorable Mention for her exceptional work. Sheridan Middle School ELA classes had a blast participating in a "book tasting" in the SMS Library this past week. Students were able to sample some of the new books throughout their four course "meal" and make notes about each book in their own menu. At the end of the tasting, students were able to order "to go" books to pick up in January when students return to school.

Sheridan Middle School is incredibly grateful to our amazing PTO for providing a delicious breakfast spread, complete with coffee, muffins, sausage biscuits, and more! From the variety of coffee pods and creamers to all the thoughtful touches, you truly made our teachers feel appreciated and cared for this Christmas season. The Sheridan Middle School 6th–8th grade choir delivered outstanding performances at the State Capitol today. We are incredibly proud of these talented students for representing our district with excellence and school pride. Following their Capitol performance, the choir traveled to Sheridan Intermediate School to share their music and spread Christmas cheer. Their voices filled the halls with the spirit of the season. Special recognition goes to Choir Director Karissa Lindsey and to our dedicated students for their hard work and commitment to excellence in music. #ExcellenceEveryDay
