Sheridan Middle School has its own Shark Tank! To celebrate wrapping up our Ancient India unit, Mrs. Walker's 6th grade classroom researched the Golden Age of India during the Gupta Empire. Each team became a mock business, crafting convincing pitches to potential investors about their Ancient Indian inventions. Students were judged on enthusiasm, knowledge, and selling skills for a shot at the grand prize. Exciting, educational, and creative efforts all around! #ExcellenceEveryDay

At Sheridan Middle School, great things are happening in Mrs. Bellomy’s 8th grade ELA class! Students became detectives in a Crime Scene Investigation activity to strengthen their Claim, Evidence, and Reasoning (CER) skills. They examined clues, analyzed witness statements, and reviewed evidence from a fictional scene. Working in teams, they made claims, supported them with text evidence, and explained their thinking logically. This hands-on activity reinforced their ability to draw conclusions and justify ideas with text-supported arguments.
