The Lady Jackets had a hard-fought 1-0 non-conference loss to perennial soccer powerhouse Russellville on Thursday. Carley Hancock and Sara Taulbee each had three steals, while Rebecca Solano, Bella Friedman, Chapel Williams, Crystal Torres, and Jackie Torres all had one steal. Goalkeeper Chloe Smith had six saves.
The Sheridan High School Chamber and Treble choirs participated in the Arkansas Choral Director Association’s Choral Performance Assessment on Wednesday at Lakeside High School. Both choirs delivered very powerful programs and did an excellent job representing SHS.
The chamber choir scored a division I ranking and is eligible to participate at the state competition in April. The treble choir received division III scores. Both choirs scored I’s in Sight Reading.
East End Middle School choir students participated in the Choral Performance Assessments on Wednesday at Hot Springs Lakeside. They received the highest possible score of 1 (Superior) in Sight Reading, and a score of 2r (Excellent, almost a 1) in Prepared Music. They really worked hard this year, and it showed today, wonderful job!
The Sheridan boys' soccer team faced off against the Greenwood Bulldogs last night at Yellowjacket Stadium. Sheridan went up 1-0 in the first half with a goal by Will Martin. Greenwood would capitalize in the second half with their own goal tying it up. The game ended in a 1-1 tie. Sheridan's JV boys also tied with Greenwood’s JV, 0-0.
The Yellowjacket soccer team hosts Greenwood and Russellville tonight. The action starts at 4 p.m. when Sheridan's JV boys play Greenwood. Varsity boys' action against Greenwood follows at 5 p.m., then the Lady Jackets will play Russellville starting about 6:30 p.m. Let's cheer our Jackets on to victory!

Haven Rhoden led the way with three goals, while Jillian Alexander and Emily Her scored one goal each. Rebecca Solano had two steals, while Carley Hancock and Lilly George each had one steal.

The 2025 NSBW campaign theme, “Clue In to School Breakfast,” reminds the entire school community that school breakfast provides a healthy and energizing start to the day for students. Studies show that students who eat school breakfast are more likely to:

You can help students in need through the Jogger for Joy campaign, which will run now through March 24. Donate your gently used or new joggers or hoodies to help students in need. There are drop boxes at each campus in the district, as well as Peoples Bank locations in East End and Sheridan. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of students.
Today's varsity baseball game vs. Searcy in the Benton Tournament vs Searcy will begin at 7:00 p.m. The JV games against Pulaski Academy that were scheduled to be played at Sheridan will instead be played at Pulaski Academy.

East End Middle School 7th- and 8th-grade students participated at the Arkansas River Education Service Cooperative regional chess tournament on Thursday. They won first place as a team overall. Nathanyal Taylor received first place, and Bryson Warrick, Wyatt Dowler and Wesley Clark tied for second place in the individual competition. Great job to everyone!
