The Sheridan School District honors and remembers all who lost their lives in the tragic events of September 11, 2001, as well as those whose lives were forever affected.
“One of the worst days in America’s history saw some of the bravest acts in Americans’ history. We’ll always honor the heroes of 9/11. And here at this hallowed place, we pledge that we will never forget their sacrifice.” — President George W. Bush at the Pentagon in 2008.

Today, we are saddened at the loss of a longtime member of the Yellowjacket family, Cindy Burton. Ms. Cindy passed away unexpectedly this morning in her home. She had been a valued member of the YJNation for 34 years and will be greatly missed. After reaching retirement as a cafeteria worker for the Sheridan School District seven years ago, she returned to serve the past five years as a daytime custodial worker. Ms. Cindy was a perfectionist in her work, had a ready smile for everyone she met, and was a friend to all. Please keep her family and friends in your thoughts and prayers as they go through this difficult time. Arrangements at Memorial Gardens are pending.
Mrs. Todd's and Mrs. Fuell's classes experimented with making rock candy today in the science lab. This will be a LONG two weeks for these students to wait and see if their experiment worked.
