On this #ThankfulThursday, we'd like to recognize Kim Norwood! Not only does she serve as a substitute for our nurses and front office staff, but she also organizes many family events for SES and works to gather volunteers to help. She has helped with Grandparents' Night, PTO fundraisers, book fairs, etc. You name it, she’s THERE!

We’re proud to announce that Jameson Archer, SHS senior, has been selected as a National Honor Society Scholarship recipient. Jameson was chosen from nearly 10,000 applicants and will receive a $3,200 scholarship toward higher education. Recipients are chosen based on their demonstrated work to support the four pillars of NHS: scholarship, service, leadership, and character.

Reminder for SSD Families: Friday, April 2 will be a VIRTUAL SCHOOL DAY for all students. Campuses will be closed to onsite instruction. Students will access assignments on Canvas. This day was originally planned as a No School Day (Make-Up Day) but was converted to a Virtual Day before school started when the governor delayed the first day of school.

With help from the Grant Co. Ministerial Alliance, Grace Church in East End, and the Lady Jacket Softball Team, our Dining Services Department packed and distributed 850 boxes of food to children in our community so they would have enough food to eat during Spring Break! Mrs. Summit’s students delivered goodie bags for staff and cards for residents at the Sheridan Healthcare and Rehabilitation. Her students were so excited! They kept talking about how great it felt to do for others!
