Two Sheridan High School seniors -- Josh Handloser and Grayson Allen -- participated in Governor's Scholastic Honors Day on Saturday, April 29, at the Governor's Mansion in Little Rock. Scholastic Honors Day recognizes Arkansas' best and brightest students "who best represent excellent academic achievement," according to the Arkansas Department of Education. The 5A-South conference track meet was held in cold, rainy conditions on Tuesday at Hot Springs Lakeside, and the Sheridan High School students listed below qualified to compete in the state track meet. The state meet will be held Thursday, May 4 at Lake Hamilton. Congratulations to all the athletes! On Thursday, April 6 at the Lakeside Invitational track meet, Aaron Webb broke the Sheridan school record in the 200-meter that was previously set in 1998. Aaron’s 200m time to break the record was 21.73. He also won the 100m dash with a time of 10.76.
