Two Sheridan High School seniors -- Josh Handloser and Grayson Allen -- participated in Governor's Scholastic Honors Day on Saturday, April 29, at the Governor's Mansion in Little Rock. Scholastic Honors Day recognizes Arkansas' best and brightest students "who best represent excellent academic achievement," according to the Arkansas Department of Education. Congratulations to Josh and Grayson!

Congratulations to Mrs. Julie for being chosen as the ALA "Red Apple" recipient for the month of April. As Mrs. Karla put it: "Mrs. Julie you go above and beyond for everyone in our building!". Thank you Mrs. Julie for everything that you do.

A group of 22 Sheridan High School students participated in the Arkansas Young Artists Association state conference last week, and several placed in different categories. Congratulations!

For the second week in a row, SHS senior Aaron Webb has broken another school record. This week, at the Lake Hamilton relays he set the new school record in the 400-meters with a time of 49.35.

The Sheridan High School Chamber Choir received a Division 1 superior rating at today's state festival at UCA. Because they received all superior ratings at the region and state levels in performance and sight reading, they are also Sweepstakes winners. Congratulations!

Sheridan High School students Kelsey Rieman, who placed first in the state FCCLA star events culinary division and Ryan Gifford, who is second in the state, are shown teaching Ms. Crosby’s FACS class how to make fruit pizza.


On Thursday, April 6 at the Lakeside Invitational track meet, Aaron Webb broke the Sheridan school record in the 200-meter that was previously set in 1998. Aaron’s 200m time to break the record was 21.73. He also won the 100m dash with a time of 10.76.
