Phonics in Action at EEE!
Our 1st grade students are getting an up-close look at how sounds are made during their UFLI phonics lessons! Using mirrors, they are watching how their mouths, lips, and tongues move as they practice different sounds.
This hands-on strategy helps students connect what they hear, say, and see, building stronger phonemic awareness and helping them become more confident readers and writers!

EEE 1st-grade classes are working hard on their listening comprehension skills! This week, they are thinking about how characters feel and, even more importantly, explaining WHY the characters have those feelings.

Friendly Reminder: Kindergarten parents are the only grade level permitted to walk their child into the building on Monday morning at the Kindergarten Foyer glass doors. To help ensure a safe and smooth arrival for everyone, please wait until 8:30 a.m. to park. Our buses and daycare vans use the parking lot during morning arrival, and keeping those areas clear allows all students to be dropped off safely and efficiently. This recognition comes on the heels of being named East End Elementary Teacher of the Year and later earning the distinction of Sheridan School District Teacher of the Year.
Mrs. Derby's commitment to helping students learn, grow, and believe in themselves is evident in everything she does. She leads with heart, inspires those around her, and exemplifies what it means to make a difference in the lives of children.
