Our 1st grade teachers and students are doing amazing work in phonics! Our students have been working hard to decode one-syllable words with consonant clusters and predictable vowel patterns, and their hard work is paying off!
On a recent assessment, 63% of our 1st graders demonstrated proficiency!
We are so proud of the intentional instruction happening in our classrooms and the growth our students are showing. Way to go, 1st grade teachers and students! Keep building those strong reading foundations one word at a time!

We are SO proud of our Kindergarten students and teachers! Our end-of-year goal, students should count to 100 by ones and tens and count forward from any given number up to 100; and our kiddos are already making amazing progress!
⭐ 94% of our students can count to 10
⭐ 52 students can already count to 20
⭐ 34 students can already count to 75
⭐ 22 students can already count all the way to 100!
And it’s only October!
Way to go, Kindergarten teachers! You are building strong number sense, celebrating growth, and setting the foundation for our kiddos’ future success. We can’t wait to watch these numbers continue to GROW!

Our students and their grandparents had so much fun playing BINGO, enjoying an amazing dinner prepared by our wonderful cafeteria crew, and shopping the Book Fair, which was a BIG hit!

Our 2nd graders at East End Elementary have been busy learning all about habitats! Ms. Creekmore's students put their learning into action by completing a research project and then stepping into the role of the expert as they presented their findings to their classmates!
We loved seeing our students research, organize their thinking, communicate what they learned, and confidently share with their peers. Learning is even more powerful when students have the opportunity to own it and teach others!
