Reminder - All Virtual 9th & 10th graders have to report to the SHS campus tomorrow morning (April 16) for Aspire testing. Also, any on-site 9th & 10th graders who missed the English, Math, or Science tests this week need to report to campus tomorrow morning for make-up testing. Bring your chromebook FULLY charged.

We’re proud to announce that Jameson Archer, SHS senior, has been selected as a National Honor Society Scholarship recipient. Jameson was chosen from nearly 10,000 applicants and will receive a $3,200 scholarship toward higher education. Recipients are chosen based on their demonstrated work to support the four pillars of NHS: scholarship, service, leadership, and character.

The SHS FFA is having a great year! They recently competed in two contest types: Career Development Events (CDE) and Leadership Development Events (LDE). Here are the results! #MakeItCount #YJNation


Commencement for the SHS Class of 2021 will be held Monday, May 24 at 7 p.m. at War Memorial Stadium in Little Rock. Should we have inclement weather, the ceremony will be moved to May 25 at War Memorial. Due to the size of this venue, we will not have to limit the number of guests. The ceremony will be live-streamed.

Kailey Thurman, a junior at SHS, earned 2nd place in the Business Communications division of the FBLA State Leadership Experience competition! She is now qualified to compete at the national convention that will take place during the summer of 2021. Congratulations, Kailey!
