SHS: Henderson State will be on campus tomorrow during CAP conferences and will be accepting payment for courses currently being taken this year. Payments are due March 1. Contact Mrs. Fortin in the counseling center with questions.

SHS - Sophomores and Juniors - Are you interested in attending the career center at COTO (ASU Three Rivers) next year for welding, automotive, construction, nursing, etc.? Applications are available in the counseling center. They are due to Mrs. Fortin by Friday, February 28th.

SHS - The Sheridan Army JROTC will be participating today (Feb 15) in the Ft. Smith Northside High School "Grizzly Mega Match" at Fort Chaffee where they will compete in a Drill Competition, Color Guard Competition, and the Raider Challenge. #Yellowjacket Pride

SHS is proud to announce awards won by our Debate Team at the HarBer High School Tournament this weekend, including: 1st place Big Question Debater; 2nd place Big Question Speaker; 1st & 2nd IPDA Debater; & 1st, 2nd, & 5th IPDA Speaker. Congratulations to all!

SHS congratulates our 3 students to make All-State Choir! Austin Cox and Logan Talley were named to the Men’s Choir. Grace Vance was named to the Mixed Choir. Way to go!

Congratulations to the Sheridan Band students who earned All-State honors yesterday: Jenna Barnes, Piano and Braden Thompson, Drum Set. Very proud of these and all of the students who auditioned! Concert band auditions are today. It’s a great day to be a Yellowjacket!

SHS Juniors & Parents - We will have ACT Bootcamp sessions for our Juniors on Tues & Wed next week (Feb 11-12) in preparation for the state ACT test on Feb 25. We hope all of our Juniors will be here to take advantage of this opportunity!


SHS - The SHS Book Fair will be Feb 7-13. We will also be open during our Parent-Teacher Conferences on Mon, Feb 10. We hope to see you there!


SHS - The National Honor Society is sponsoring their 2nd blood drive of the year. These students would love your support on Mon, Feb 10 from 2-6 PM.


SHS - We are celebrating National School Counseling Week this week (Feb 3-7)! We love our counselors, Mrs. Fortin, Mrs. Sites, and Ms. Strong! They pour so much time, hard work, and love into our students and staff. We are so lucky to have them as part of our faculty!


SHS - Balfour will be here Thursday, February 6 to deliver class rings. They will also be able to take payments on graduation items for seniors and class rings for juniors.

SHS - FBLA students competed at the District Spring Conference this week. 38 students qualified to compete at the State FBLA Conference in April. Way to go Jackets!

SHS - Congratulations to the SHS Staff Member of the Week, Wrenitta Robinson! Ms. Robinson works hard to keep our school clean and beautiful for our students and staff. We couldn't have the school we have without her!


SHS - Students in the Kohler Lab are now laser engraving something they designed themselves using Ink Scape. Soon, students will create a product to sell at the YJ Store!
