SHS - 9th-12th grade students interested in the fishing team must attend one of the mandatory meetings. Students should bring $25 for SAF dues & $60 for a team jersey (new members only). Meetings will be 6:30 PM in the SHS Cafeteria on Sept 3 & 5. Parents and boat captains of the students should also attend one of the meetings with their child.

SHS parking tags ($10) for the 2019-20 school year are for sale now in the SHS office. Students will need a valid drivers license and current registration for the vehicle they will be driving.


Our new CNC machine arrived today at the high school! The CNC machine will be used in our Kohler Academy, which will prepare students for careers in Advanced Manufacturing and Engineering.


SHS: Best of luck to the SHS JROTC this week (June 16-21) as they participate in the annual JROTC Cadet Leadership Challenge (JCLC) camp at Camp Robinson conducted by the Army JROTC programs of Arkansas.

The SHS Color Guard has been working on new choreography for the 2019 show with consultant Mike McGehee with Marching 365 out of Princeton, Texas.

SHS Parents: The deadline to apply with Henderson State for concurrent credit courses next year has been EXTENDED until Friday, May 24th! Make sure to return parental consent forms to the counselors' office.


We are preparing students for a future in education! Our Teacher Cadet students spent this semester shadowing teachers throughout the district and also preparing/teaching lessons to younger students. We hope they will return to #YJNation after their college education!



Congratulations to Mackenzie Avant (1st Place) and Emery Talbert (2nd Place) who earned top awards at the AR Association of Instructional Media Student Media Festival. Both young ladies earned their awards in the photography division.
