SHS Parents: The deadline to apply with Henderson State for concurrent credit courses next year has been EXTENDED until Friday, May 24th! Make sure to return parental consent forms to the counselors' office.
We are preparing students for a future in education! Our Teacher Cadet students spent this semester shadowing teachers throughout the district and also preparing/teaching lessons to younger students. We hope they will return to #YJNation after their college education!
Congratulations to Mackenzie Avant (1st Place) and Emery Talbert (2nd Place) who earned top awards at the AR Association of Instructional Media Student Media Festival. Both young ladies earned their awards in the photography division.

We have rescheduled the SHS choir concert for next Tuesday, May 14th, at First Methodist Church of Sheridan. The concert will begin at 7:00 PM.
SHS Seniors: Graduation speech auditions will be rescheduled for Monday, May 13 at 3:30 p.m.

Since school is canceled today, the SHS yearbook will be distributed during lunch Friday. A limited number of extras will be available for $60.
SHS Juniors and Seniors: We will still have AP testing as planned today, May 9, for students who can make it here safely. We are currently calling each of these families individually.
SHS - Yearbooks will be delivered tomorrow (Thurs, May 9) during lunches. If you didn't order one, there will be a limited number for sale on a first-come first-serve basis for $60.
Today we celebrated our 2018-2019 SHS Students of the Month with breakfast. We wish to congratulate them and their parents for this recognition.
SENIORS: The deadline to purchase Awards Banquet tickets is Friday! Tickets can be purchased in the front office with Mrs. Ashley and are $9.00. The banquet will be held on Monday, May 20th at 6:30 pm.
SHS Bands will perform their spring concert on Tues, May 7 at 7 PM in McKenzie Hall. The concert is free and open to the public.

SHS Fine Arts will host a Senior Showcase on Sunday, May 5 at 2 PM in McKenzie Auditorium. A reception and college signing will follow.

We got to watch dress rehearsal last night & are excited for you to see it, too! SHS Theater Department will present Rodgers and Hammerstein’s THE KING & I at McKenzie Auditorium tonight at 7 PM. They will also perform May 3 & 4 at 7 PM, as well as a 2 PM matinee on Sat, May 4.
