
Peyton Varnell was named All Tournament at the 6A State Quiz Bowl tournament. He received this honor for his high scoring average in each match.


Students in SMS Caring & Sharing & Student Council received a message of thanks & a personalized commemorative flag from the 90th Sustainment Brigade stationed in Kabul, Afghanistan for the Veterans Day care packages that they collected and sent to those deployed.

SMS held its Spelling Bee today with 46 contestants. The students did very well, and we are really proud of all of them. Our qualifiers for the Grant County Bee are Avery Williams, Fallyn Mangrum, Aerin Campbell, Sam Cypert, Ian Goins, Logan Harris, & John Pfenenger!

Our middle school choir, under the direction of Denise Davis, put on an incredible holiday concert this week! We are thankful to East Union for hosting this great event!
