Last weekend, the Jr. Jackettes Dance Team competed at Cabot High School in their last competition of the season. They received second place in both the 5A/6A Pom category and 5A/6A Jazz category! It was a great weekend, and their coach and SMS are super proud of them! Way to go girls!

Thank you to everyone who made the Special Olympics event a success! SMS students and staff lined the hallways as our students boarded the bus and welcomed them back with 4 GOLD medals and 1 SILVER, we are so proud of them!

In commemoration of the attacks of September 11, 2001, the SMS Library is displaying a poster exhibition from the 9/11 Memorial & Museum titled "September 11, 2001: The Day that Changed the World."
Today, after reviewing primary and secondary sources, SMS Students in Mrs. Walker's Social Studies classes used the posters to complete a notice and wonder activity.
