Mrs. Hardin's 3rd grade class, at East End Intermediate, welcomed back Mrs. McConkie for a fun lesson on "Fall Plowing" by Grant Wood. It features an original John Deere plow and allowed us to learn about farming with a local farmer and her goat, Betsy Ross.

Exciting things are happing on the 3rd Grade Hallway at East End Intermediate! Mrs. Seaton has set up an incubator and will be hatching chicken eggs. Students are learning the process of hatching and will get to see it along the way. We should have chicks in about 21 Days!!

Students have been learning about ecosystems and animals in classes. Today, Game and Fish came to East End Intermediate School to teach students about alligators. Students were able to see and touch a baby alligator. Thank you, Game and Fish, for coming and teaching us about this protected species.

We enjoyed seeing so many of our grandparents this morning at our Grandparent's Day Breakfast. Thank you to our Saline County officers who assisted with traffic and parking, Chartwells for preparing and serving a fantastic breakfast, and all of our staff that jumped in and assisted to ensure everything went smoothly. We enjoyed seeing so many smiling faces in our building.

Grandparent's Day Breakfast at EEI
East End Intermediate wants to give a big thank you to Larry's Pizza and Stanley Sanitation! In August, Larry's Pizza provided our teachers and staff with pizza for lunch. Today, Stanley Sanitation provided our teachers and staff with donuts for breakfast. We love our local businesses and appreciate their support of our faculty and school!
