East End Middle School choir students performed at the yearly choral performance assessment for the region Thursday. They received an Excellent rating in prepared music, and a Superior rating in sightreading! These students have put in an incredible amount of time and effort, and their hard work truly paid off this week. Sixth graders at East End Middle School are learning about gear ratios in their Intro to Robotics class! ⚙️🤖

Students are discovering how changing input and output gear sizes can either increase speed or increase torque (mechanical advantage). Through hands-on building and testing, they’re seeing how small adjustments to a gear train can completely change a robot’s performance. #EEMIsAllThat #ExcellenceEveryDay

East End Middle School competed in its fourth competition of the VEX IQ Mix & Match season this past weekend—and our teams delivered an outstanding performance!

Team 72065Y dominated the qualification rounds, maintaining a commanding first-place lead throughout the day. In the finals, Teams 72065X and 72065B partnered together to secure the championship title. Team 72065B also earned the prestigious Excellence Award—the highest honor at a VEX IQ competition—and captured 1st Place in the Skills Challenge.

All of our teams showed tremendous growth, significantly improving their Skills scores and continuing to demonstrate dedication, teamwork, and perseverance. We are incredibly proud of their hard work and success! #EEMIsAllThat #ExcellenceEveryDay

East End Middle School VEX teams competed in Bryant on January 10 for their third competition of the season. Each team performed exceptionally well and demonstrated measurable growth in all classroom-assessed areas, including behavior, technical robotic skills, and design notebook development. The event concluded with Team 72065Y earning the Judges Award, while Team 72065X captured first place in the Teamwork Challenge and was honored with the Excellence Award—the highest distinction presented at a VEX competition. #EEMIsAllThat #ExcellenceEveryDay

A reminder that we continue ATLAS interim testing tomorrow! Testing will begin at 8:00am. Athletes will not travel and should report to East End Middle in the morning. Please encourage your child to do his/her best!

Students in the East End Middle School Treble Choir had the opportunity to perform on December 17 at the annual "Sounds of the Season" event at the Arkansas State Capitol. They also visited local nursing homes to spread Christmas cheer by singing carols and spending time with residents. It was a wonderful way to end the semester and share the joy of the season! 🎶🎄#EEMIsAllThat
