EEM Austin McCann and SMS Zoey Newcomb were apart of The Art and Science Center of Southeast Arkansas production of The Christmas Story this past weekend. Austin was cast as "Ralphie" and Zoey as "Esther Jane" both students are apart of Mrs. Scott's Drama class.



Watch out! The dragons are watching! 6th graders in Mrs. Otten's art class have worked hard on their oil pastel dragon eyes. They turned out amazing!


6th Grade ELA students presented ornaments that opened a door into each of their lives. This project was an implementation of Capturing Kids' Hearts, and their stories can be seen on the trees in the two 6th Grade ELA classrooms at EEM.



East End Middle School students prepared a Thanksgiving meal and invited some very special people to come and enjoy the meal with them.



Our middle school choir, under the direction of Denise Davis, put on an incredible holiday concert this week! We are thankful to East Union for hosting this great event!



Mrs. Threet's writing classes are learning and having a blast working collaboratively to create a podcast script. Podcasts are a fun and engaging way to review the proper use of dialogue, using quotation marks, clauses, capitalization, and punctuation.

Mrs. Otten's 8th graders are priming their paper mache sculptures inspired by artist, Keith Haring. Next, they will paint them with bright colors!

EEM students earn our first trophy! Proud to announce Tucker Dowler, Daycen Porter and Hector Aguilar earned the Superior Rating Trophy in the Group Acting Category at the Arkansas Junior Thespian Festival. Way to teach/lead the Sheridan Junior Thespians Troupe, Mrs. Scott!!!




EEM robotics team is moving fast! Students were put into teams, picked roles, and are researching VEX IQ.



VEX Ready! Meet the new EEM VEX team. Students learn and research what VEX robotics is, specifically VEX IQ. We will meet and discuss different types of builds, various schematics of most productive use of time and scoring, how to keep an accurate engineering notebook, etc.





EEM's engineering class is moving fast. Students are working through the engineering design process to solve problems and explore better options.

Students were geared up for the beginning of module rotations in ETE class. Students will rotate every two weeks to a new station learning all about the engineering design process and how technology can and is incorporated into it.





The Sheridan School District will host a Substitute Teacher Training Seminar on Friday, Nov. 1, from 9 AM to 12 PM, at Sheridan High School, 700 West Vine Street in Sheridan.
