SHS FCCLA & Food Production students showcased their skills by catering lunch for the Regional Arkansas Retired Teachers Association this week. The luncheon, hosted at First United Methodist Church, featured delicious boxed lunches and desserts prepared by our talented students. We’re so proud of what they’re accomplishing and so thankful to our community for providing these amazing opportunities!

SHS Celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month!

Our students in Coach Del Toro's Spanish classes are honoring Hispanic Heritage Month by researching influential Hispanic figures and creating beautiful posters to showcase their lives, culture, and impact.

SHS FCCLA students competed in the Highland Dairy Contest at the Arkansas State Fair. Students were tasked with using two Highland Dairy products to create a savory dish. Aiden Shannon placed 2nd out of more than seventy students, winning a $150 cash prize for his spinach dip. Jacy Stalbaum earned 8th place with her stromboli. This past weekend, October 2–4, three Sheridan FFA members proudly represented our community at the Arkansas Rodeo Finals in El Paso, AR!

In addition to their success in the arena, all three also participated in the Timberfest Parade, representing both Sheridan FFA and the Grant County Rodeo Queens.
These students exemplified hard work, dedication, and true hometown pride—both in and out of the arena. Way to represent Sheridan FFA and our community so well!

Sheridan High School senior Steven Robinowitz recently showcased his creativity by writing and illustrating a book in Coach Brooks’s Introduction to Education class. He then shared his work in a special way, by presenting the book to his new friend, Skylar, whom he met in Coach Hoffman’s PE class. Way to go Steven!

SHS loves and appreciates our custodians! Every day, they work hard to make SHS a clean and welcoming space for learning. Thank you for all you do for our students and staff. It’s an honor to recognize a few of our amazing custodians in celebration of National Custodian Day. Special thanks to the SHS PTO for providing goodie bags!

Thanks to First Baptist Church of Sheridan for providing lunch to the SHS faculty on Friday, October 3, 2025. The hamburgers were delicious, and the tailgate was a great time for our families. We appreciate Bro. Thomas Sewell and the entire church community for their continued kindness and support of SHS!

On Friday, October 3, 2025, the SHS faculty took a deep dive into ATLAS data. Our teachers are using this information to make informed next-step decisions for student learning. Sonic drinks provided by the SHS PTO and the East End Sonic made the work twice as sweet!

A huge thank-you to our amazing PTO—our teachers are ready to tackle the second nine weeks of learning. Special thanks to Ashley Henry, Kayden McBride, Jennifer Reed, and Jillian Reed. Delivering 100 large custom Sonic drinks is no easy feat!

SHS Choir students performed exceptionally well at the Sr. High All-Region Choir Auditions on Saturday, October 4, 2025.
